The Glenburn Assam Golden Tips is one of the best Assam teas we have ever tasted. It was a major reason for founding Friends of Tea: during a video shoot at Glenburn, we came up with the idea of bringing high-quality teas directly to you – without detours and without middlemen.
Alongside the Himalayan Imperial Black, the Glenburn Assam Golden Tips is another of our strong black teas. Freshly brewed, it tastes bold and distinctive, and for many it is the ideal start to the day. Many people like to drink their Assam with milk – but we recommend trying our Glenburn Assam without milk first, so you can discover all its nuances. The liquor is a wonderful amber orange.
This tea comes from the Glenburn Tea Estate in the Assam region. The estate is family-owned.
Like most black teas, you infuse the Glenburn Assam Golden Tips at 100 °C and let it steep for 3 minutes. Warm your cup and teapot beforehand so the tea doesn’t cool down too quickly.
In 2016, we had the chance to be part of the shoot for an image video for the Glenburn Tea Estate. Since then, we have had a great relationship with this tea garden and regularly source high-quality teas from there.
