Harendong Light Oolong

Our Harendong Light Oolong from Indonesia is an outstandingly fresh and mild tea that still unfolds its full aroma beautifully even after the fourth infusion. With its mild yet complex character, it's a perfect oolong for beginners and gives you a great insight into the diverse world of oolong teas. Its tightly rolled leaves slowly open up after infusion and reveal their full splendor. Made after the model of Taiwanese oolongs, it's a prime example of the fact that good oolong doesn't necessarily have to come from China or Taiwan.

Taste

When dry, the hand-rolled tea smells fresh and floral – almost like a flower meadow covered in morning dew in spring. A delicate note of honey perfectly rounds off this floral, light oolong. The taste changes a little with every infusion.

Origin

This tea comes from the Harendong tea garden on the island of Java in Indonesia. The tea garden lies in the middle of a magnificent nature reserve and produces outstanding oolong teas. This oolong is regularly tested for residues.

Preparation

You can infuse the Harendong Light Oolong at least four times. Use 6 g of tea leaves for 500 ml of water at 80–90 °C and let the first infusion steep for 2–3 minutes, and every further one for 4–5 minutes. Enjoy!
