We source our Dong Ding Oolong from Mr. Huang, who took over his father’s business. His father was one of the first tea farmers in Taiwan to focus intensively on producing particularly high-quality teas. Like his father, the son now carries forward the idea of high-quality tea cultivation.
Taste
At our first tasting, we were especially surprised by the complexity of the aromas: in the first infusion they are bold and nutty, and with further infusions they shift toward lighter, more floral notes.
Origin
This top-quality tea comes from Mr. Huang’s tea garden in Taiwan’s Nantou region and is grown at an altitude of about 350 meters. Dong Ding (凍頂) roughly means “icy peak” and is the name of one of Taiwan’s best-known tea-growing regions.

Preparation
We recommend brewing Dong Ding Oolong at 80 °C for 3–4 minutes. You can steep it up to five times.
